Product overview
At Selmatec, efficiency and safety are at the core of innovation, leading to the development of the CB-Inspector System—a comprehensive 2D-scanning solution designed for billet handling across both cooling beds and magnetic lifting processes. The system combines the high-speed MP Line Scanner, a 180° tilt unit, and purpose-built software tailored for steel applications. The MP300 Line Scanner operates at up to 300 lines per second with a spectral sensitivity of 3.9µm and a wide temperature range (50–1,100°C), enabling precise thermal measurement and control. Its swivel and tilt mechanisms ensure thorough area coverage in mere seconds, surpassing the accuracy of conventional IR cameras and enhancing safety by preventing premature handling of billets.
The CB-Inspector's software component enables real-time data analysis, allowing operators to detect irregularities early and take corrective measures to improve product quality and operational safety. Designed with scalability in mind, the system can integrate up to eight scanning units, adapting to the needs of both small and large-scale steel plants. Optional features like data logging and report generation offer deeper operational insights, helping manufacturers optimize cooling processes over time and reduce costly production risks.
