To address these challenges, we at Selmatec have developed the CL-Inspector, an intelligent infrared monitoring solution for the continuous monitoring of floating ladles in demanding steel mill environments. Using high-resolution IR cameras and advanced image processing technology, the system continuously captures and analyzes the thermal state of the ladle surface during operation.

Our software automatically detects and tracks the ladle in real time, defining a dynamic monitoring area to ensure stable and accurate thermal evaluation even while the ladle is moving through the process. Visualize critical parameters such as maximum and minimum temperature within target areas, as well as data in the form of thermal maps for hotspot recognition. Developments are continuously monitored and evaluated against configurable alarm thresholds. This allows operators to immediately recognize abnormal thermal behavior and react before critical failures occur.

In addition to live monitoring, the system stores thermal data and image recordings for trend analysis, predictive maintenance, and incident evaluation. Through OPC and PLC integration, the CL-Inspector can also communicate directly with existing automation and control systems, creating a seamless connection between thermal monitoring and plant operation.
