Are You Struggling With the Reliability of Your Glass Monitoring Strategy?

Thermal homogeneity is extremely important in glass processes in order to produce an intact, high-quality end product. Product defects or anomalies on the production line can be detected in real time with a high-end system and help to avoid unnecessary scrapping

At Selmatec, to overcome these challenges, we offer our advanced GS150 Thermal Imaging System, with the MP150 Line Scanner at its core. This system provides precise, automated temperature measurements and real-time monitoring of glass throughout processes like bending, forming, annealing, and tempering.

The only way to ensure a product of the highest quality is by aiming to detect the impossible: unlike an IR Camera, the Line Scanner is extremely precise to detect the smallest errors in the glass. The MP300 Line Scanner can register up to 300 lines per second, which are automatically compiled by our software into a thermal image of the entire area of the glass. Thanks to this level of detail, you can also reduce plant downtime by scheduling maintenance if anomalies become more frequent.

Plus, the installation couldn’t be easier! With just a clear overhead view and a simple PC connection, the GS150 integrates smoothly into your existing setup, allowing you to start improving your process almost immediately.

Problems with emissivity? Set your concerns aside!

We know that working with glass can be particularly tricky due to special properties like lower emissivity. That’s why we offer an extension for the GS150 system, the GSLE, which is specifically designed for automatic emissivity correction, essential to maintain accuracy when measuring different types of glass. The GSLE integrates an IR point sensor beneath the glass to measure the uncoated side, where the emissivity is known. The solution will then automatically adjust the thermal map and your temperature readings will remain spot-on!
