What is the best strategy to monitor door rings?

The hot stamping process for producing high-quality door rings is particularly tricky. Since door rings are made combining different segments (usually with sheets of different thickness), and sometimes applying additional sheet patches, your monitoring solution must be able to provide a complete image of the surface to ensure that no defects occur.

This is why the Line Scanner is the superior choice for this application.

Unlike pyrometers that can only detect specific points, line scanners can monitor an entire surface, making them the perfect device for inline thermal monitoring in conjunction with our PH Inspector system.

This combination dramatically improves detection of common problems such as geometric errors and overlaps, which would simply be impossible with pyrometers. By monitoring zones, transition areas, and overlaps, you can be sure that the shape of the door ring will be exactly as it was intended.

Furthermore, this monitoring system is fully automated: it includes in-cycle protocols as well as automatic test recipe switching for different products/shapes.
