Sinter plant: Avoid sinter reignition and prevent damages

Did you know that sinter can reignite even after cooled?

A cooling phase does not guarantee that the temperature of the sinter will be evenly lowered by the end of the process.

To the naked eye the sinter might look stable, but thermography reveals zones that still have residual heat. While this might not be a problem, it can quickly turn into a major issue if these hotspots reignite.

With the 2D-Scan you can constantly monitor the sinter to avoid critical issues. The 2D-Scan consists of a Line Scanner paired with a tilt unit, allowing you to scan large areas in minimum time (e.g 30x60m in 15 seconds).

When the hotspots reignite, the conveyor belt after the cooler most likely will be severely affected, which can result in unwanted shutdowns and expensive replacements. However, with the approved 2D-Scan you will receive quick alerts if the hotspots exceed normal parameters, allowing you to perform maintenance to avoid damages.
